MONTESSORI
PRE-CASA PROGRAM

The Pre-Casa Program offered at Holland Marsh Montessori School is an exceptional educational experience designed specifically for children aged 18 months to 2.5 years. With a focus on the Montessori way of learning, our program encourages toddlers to explore their surroundings, engage in hands-on activities, and develop essential skills at their own pace. In our Montessori Toddler Program, classrooms are carefully prepared to meet the unique needs of this age group. Child-sized furniture, age-appropriate learning materials, and a calm and inviting atmosphere with live plants and greenery create an environment that supports the child’s natural inclination for independence and exploration. Toddlers have the freedom to choose activities that interest them, allowing them to develop concentration and a sense of autonomy.

One of the key principles of the Montessori Method in the toddler classroom is individualized learning. Our Montessori-trained teachers closely observe each child to understand their interests, strengths, and areas of growth. Based on these observations, they provide tailored activities, nutrition, and materials that meet the child’s developmental needs.

Sensorial Exploration

The team at Holland Marsh Montessori gives the kids engaging resources to push them as active learners. We also participate in collaborative play, hands-on learning, and self-directed activities. We offer age-appropriate Montessori materials and concentrate our involvement on real-world tasks. We also emphasize the arts and music, fostering the development of the creative self via artistic discovery.

Language and Communication

Language and communication play a crucial role in our Montessori Pre-Casa Program. We provide a rich, language-rich environment that promotes vocabulary development, storytelling, conversations, and exposure to various languages. Through these experiences, children develop their communication skills, express their thoughts and feelings, and develop a love for language and literacy.

Enrolling your child in our Montessori Pre-Casa program is an investment in their future. By providing a nurturing and engaging environment that supports their developmental needs, we empower children to become confident, capable, and compassionate individuals. We invite you to learn more about our program and how it can benefit your child during this critical stage of their growth and development.

Our Montessori Pre-Casa/Toddler Program places a strong emphasis on practical life skills. Toddlers are eager to become more independent, and our program supports their desire to take care of themselves and their environment. Through activities such as pouring, dressing, and cleaning, children develop fine motor skills, hand and eye coordination, and a sense of responsibility. These practical life skills not only foster independence but also lay the foundation for future academic and social success.

Social Development

Social development is a vital aspect of our Montessori toddler program. We recognize that young children learn best through interactions with their peers. In our multi-age classrooms, toddlers have the opportunity to observe and learn from older children, while also developing empathy, cooperation, and social skills. Our teachers guide children in conflict resolution, problem-solving, and effective communication, fostering a positive and inclusive community within the classroom.
